Bob Brannon, DPhil
I began my ministry at Upper St. Clair Alliance Church near the beginning of 2014. Before moving to Pittsburgh, I had the privilege of serving churches in the Midwest for over 30 years. I enjoy what I do because it allows me to use the gifts God has given me and to see lives transformed by the power of God’s Word.
Teresa and I were married in 1978 and God has blessed us with three great kids and five wonderful grandkids. They are the joy of our lives, which is why we are wearing the road out between Pittsburgh and southeastern Wisconsin and Minneapolis. We travel there often to spend time with our family. When we can’t be there, we love to read books, play hide-and-seek, and sing songs with our grandkids via Skype.
I recently completed a DPhil in social research at Omega Graduate School. The focus of the program is the integration of religion and society, and my research topic was "The Effect of Christian Apologetics Training on the Faith Confidence and Witnessing Boldness of Emerging Adult Christians". I also teach part time as an adjunct professor through the online program of Crown College, my alma mater.
To unwind and recharge my energy I enjoy walks in the woods with Teresa, biking the Montour Trail and mountain biking on the single-track trails of area parks.

Seeing students begin to understand God's call on their life and taking steps to live it out, is my biggest joy! I have worked with youth since 1997, and most days, I still have the energy to keep up with them. I enjoy playing a small role in their growth in the Lord by using the gifts He has given me. It is an honor to serve at Upper St. Clair Alliance Church.
Beth and I were married in 1997 and have two awesome teenagers. We enjoy spending time with them, going to their games and meets, and embarking on all types of adventures.
I have a Master's Degree in Christian Ministry from Evangel University and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Bible/Theology from Wheaton College.
Fun facts about me: I am an only child. I met Oprah and O.J. Simpson. I like to sing, but can't carry a tune. Besides working at Upper St. Clair Alliance, I also work at Capital One. I love to snow and water ski.

My passion is to create a fun environment that will cause the Bible to come alive to children. My goal is to cause children to connect with God. I want to see every child learn to stand strong for Jesus and to be a great light in the darkness. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Bible. I have many experiences in working with children. I have taught 5th & 6th Grades at Valley Christian School and have had many years of substituting teaching for a variety of schools. For five years I directed a week of camp for Big Sandy Camp, which included creating curriculum and overseeing the week of 200 campers. I also have volunteered in Children’s ministries in different churches including teaching Sunday School and directing plays. I have had the privilege to work with Appleton Alliance Church in a pilot program for Discovery Land Global, implementing and directing their interactive curriculum into Plymouth Alliance Church’s children’s ministry. Currently, I have the privilege of implementing and directing Discovery Land Global at Upper St Clair Alliance Church.
I have been married to Bob for 36 years. We have lived in several states and have served churches in the Midwest. We have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren whom we love and miss dearly!
