AWANA is a weekly Bible club that started in 1950 and blossomed into a world-wide organization hosted in over 30,000 churches.  Upper St. Clair Alliance Church has been a proud member of the AWANA family for over 20 years.

The club promises a fun mix of Bible lessons and stories, scripture memorization, themed activities, special events, and exciting games involving team competition.  We even have an annual Pinewood Derby Grand Prix Race.  Achievement awards are earned as kids complete sections in their handbook as well as for completing their book.  Kids can proudly display the emblems they earn on their group's vest or jersey.

The 2016-17 AWANA Year
starts Sept, 7rd, 6:30pm-8pm
and runs every Wednesday through April 26th

  • Cubby Bear is this group's cuddly mascot.  Pre-schoolers enjoy hearing about Cubby's adventures and lessons on obeying God and parents.  Cubbies work through their handbook as a group, learning short Bible verses, have puppet shows, games, songs and crafts.

Sparks...Kindergarten - 2nd grade

  • Sparky the firefly joins young elementary-grade kids in learning about Jesus and important people in the Bible.  Focus is on memorizing scripture.  Kids work at their own pace through their handbook and earn awards.  Time is also spent in Bible lessons, singing and fun team competition and games.  New this year will be the sport of speed cup stacking.

T&T (Truth & Training)...grades 3rd-6th

  • T&T Clubbers have a program very similar to Sparks in that they have Bible lessons, songs, team competition games (including the new speed cup stacking) as well as working through their handbooks at their own pace earning achievement awards as they go.  T&T handbooks mix verse memorization with life application.

*Upper St Clair Alliance Church is a “Safe Place”.  All Children Ministry volunteers are screened.  Safety armbands are used for Nursery/preschoolers.
