AWANA Kid’s Club
Our Kick-Off date is Wednesday, September 7 at 6:30pm. Contact the church for more details.
The AWANA club at USC Alliance Church meets every Wednesday Evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the church. (see bottom of page for monthly event calendar Sept-Feb)
A-W-A-N-A gets its name from its theme verse: 2 Timothy 2:15. “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.”
Our AWANA Club activities center around a weekday club meeting for boys and girls whose ages range from age two through sixth grade. Kids love coming to AWANA for the high energy competition on the AWANA game floor and for the excitement of the AWANA activities. Each child earns credits toward the individual and team awards which are presented weekly. The student progresses at his/her own pace. The format of the program allows plenty of time for Leaders to develop one-on-one relationships with the children in their club.
Our AWANA groups are:
- Puggles . . . . . 2 year old boys and girls
- Cubbies . . . . .3 & 4 year old boys and girls
- Sparks . . . . . . .K – 2nd grade boys and girls
- Clubbers . . . . .3rd – 6th grade boys & girls
A typical week-night program begins with the whole group meeting together for pledge to the flags and announcements. They then break into three smaller groups: Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks & Clubbers. See some photos here.
Each group’s program consists of three segments:
- Game Time – Action Game Floor Competition
- Workbook Time – Bible Memory Work
- Story Time – Songs & Illustrated Bible Lesson

Bible Verse of the Day
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
